Removal of amalgam/silver fillings and replacement with natural tooth colored fillings. Amalgam fillings are placed mechanically in the tooth; they expand over time and can contribute to a fractured tooth when biting down. Bonded fillings reduce the risk of fractured teeth since they are chemically bonded to the tooth surface and they do not expand over time. They are also a very natural looking restoration. |
