Smile Makeover

This patient had a fear of the dentist but I was highly recommended by a good friend of hers. She came in for her initial consultation and began to relax as she explained her fears and told me she would really like to have a beautiful smile. We treated her with a full mouth porcelain crowns and veneers. For her comfort, all visits were completed utilizing oral conscious sedation. Wow! She was very comfortable through the whole procedure and is very happy with her new smile.

Extreme Makeover - An Amazing Transformation

Amazing transformation from worn and ground down teeth to a healthy happy smile in just a matter of weeks. It is very important to get everything worked out ahead of time. In this case we made study models and made a wax mach-up of the teeth to see what they would look like before we started the case. We then used the mold from the ideal teeth in the wax-up to fabricate the temporary crowns that were placed at the first preparation visit. The patients temporary crowns looked almost as nice as these permanent crowns right after the first crown preparation visit. Changing Sarasota one smile at a time, Hank D. Michael, DMD

Porcelain Crowns and Dental Implants

They just don't get much more extreme than this case. It is a such a great feeling to be able to help people like this smile again. It took us a few months because we needed implants on the upper jaw and lower jaw and implants take 4-6 months to heal into the bone before it is safe to place crowns on them, however, a temporary was placed on surgery day that looked almost as great as the final case. Temporaries are made from an acrylic material that aren't quite as smooth but still look very nice for about 4-6 months if needed.

Dental Implants, All Porcelain Crowns & Bridges

This patient was very concerned that her veneers that were placed several years ago were cracking. Further examination revealed decay, non-restorable teeth, and a crooked bite. Utilizing modern dental technology we were able to replace non-restorable teeth with dental implants and straighten her bite with all-porcelain crowns and bridges. This beautiful smile will function for many years to come.

Porcelain Veneers Extra White

This patient was replacing dental veneers done over twenty years ago. She wanted to whiten her smile while having the veneers replaced so we had to do 8 dental veneers and 2 all porcelain crowns because all of these teeth showed when she smiled. She is very please with her choice of porcelain color giving her a new bright white smile!

Veneers

Patient had congenitally missing lateral incisors. Some patients choose to replace missing laterals with implant restorations, while this patient choose orthodontic treatment and placement of 8 porcelain veneers. Treatment took approximately 3 weeks and this patient will be smiling confidently for years to come thanks to Dr. Michael.

Smile Makeover - Porcelain Crowns & Veneers

Patient visited Dr. Michael's office with a chief complaint of jaw pain and she wasn't happy with her smile. Complete exam revealed severe malocclusion. The before picture above represents her bite when completely closed - only her back molar on each side was touching. In approximately two months, her bite was restored and she also received the benefits of a beautiful new smile!

Smile Makeover - Porcelain Crowns & Veneers

Patient was unhappy with their smile. Teeth were discolored and there was an old porcelain fused to metal crown on the front tooth. This patient wanted whiter and straighter teeth. This was accomplished with beautiful empress porcelain crowns and veneers. Treatment took about 2 months and patient choose to take advantage of oral minimal sedation for their dental visits. Patient is extremely happy with their new smile and feel more confident in social situations.

Smile Makeover - Porcelain Empress Crowns

Patient's request was, "I want them straight and I want them white." All of her porcelain fused to metal crowns were removed and replaced with all-porcelain empress crowns. Periodontal disease was treated with the Waterlase MD. No pain or discomfort was associated with any of this treatment. Patient is so happy she's sharing her story with all of her friends and family!

Lower Veneers

Patient was unhappy with her smile. Chipped and broken lower incisors along with spaces between her teeth made her very self conscious. 6 porcelain veneers on the bottom and a tooth colored filling on the upper central incisor. Smiling with confidence has never been so easy!

Porcelain Crowns / Veneers

Patient presented with severe wear and break down of all teeth. This patient, like many others, did not like the dentist. After our consultation, patient felt much more comfortable with the idea of fixing his teeth using oral minimal sedation. Oral medication is administered at the beginning of the appointment and patients feel very comfortable during their appointments - some don't even remember! Patient is pleased with extreme makeover and is even more please it didn't hurt.

Dental Implants / Porcelain Bridge

Patient had to remove lower four front teeth due to periodontal disease and a dental abscess. Immediately after the removal of teeth, four implants were placed and temporized. 4 Months later, impressions were taken for a splinted Lava bridge with pink porcelain to simulate the gum tissue.

Metal-free bridges, dental implants, laser therapy

Patient presented with multiple missing teeth and a history of periodontal disease which had caused the loss of the teeth. Treatment required: localized laser periodontal surgery (WaterlaseMD), one dental implant, three zirconia bridges, and three porcelain crowns. Note: these bridges are metal-free so there are no black lines near the gums. Again patient didn't feel a thing. For the first time at a age 68, he's smiling with confidence!

Dental Implants / Porcelain Crowns

Upper Jaw

Lower Jaw

This patient was missing all back teeth so they were not able to chew. Also, they were unhappy with their smile. Dental implants and porcelain crowns restored this patient confidence and allowed them to chew. They now have something to truly smile about!

Dental Implants

This patient lost their tooth due to a dental infection. A dental implant was placed and a temporary porcelain crown was fabricated at time of placement. 3 months later a permanent porcelain crown was fabricated.

Four Empress Porcelain Crown

This patient was unhappy with visible metal margins from old porcelain fused to metal crowns. She stated she was "afraid to smile". Old crowns were removed and replaced with All-porcelain Empress crowns and now she can't stop smiling. This procedure was painless and took took two short visits.

Bonding/White Filling

Removal of amalgam/silver fillings and replacement with natural tooth colored fillings. Amalgam fillings are placed mechanically in the tooth; they expand over time and can contribute to a fractured tooth when biting down. Bonded fillings reduce the risk of fractured teeth since they are chemically bonded to the tooth surface and they do not expand over time. They are also a very natural looking restoration.

Veneers

Patient was concerned about chipping and fracturing front teeth. Also noted was a large space between two front teeth. Treatment was completed in two weeks with six porcelain veneers.
