Sonicare Toothbrush

The electric toothbrush has revolutionized the way we take care of our teeth today. There are many different types of electric toothbrushes in many different colors and sizes, but the key is that they all improve our ability to brush. Imagine your manual tooth brush going back and forth in your mouth on each tooth and how many brushing strokes you might get during a two minute cleaning? Generally speaking, you may get up to 1,000 brush strokes with a manual toothbrush in a two minute time frame. An electric toothbrush, such as the Sonicare, produces about 30,000 brush strokes per minute – that is 60,000 strokes in two minutes versus the 1,000 manual brush strokes! Not all electric toothbrushes have that many brush strokes per minute, but even a disposable “spin brush” produces a dramatic increase in brush stokes versus manual brushing. Not everybody needs to invest in an electric toothbrush. It is optional for those patients whom have see their dentist regularly and prove to have excellent dental health. However, these people with good oral hygiene usually tend to love the upgrade and consider it a luxury. Investing in an electric toothbrush is a wonderful way to improve your dental health and some even say “it’s fun and it feels good too”.
