Digital x-rays are far better than traditional film for many reasons. Digital x-rays allow Dr. Michael to get a much better view of your teeth and potential dental conditions INSTANTLY! Once the X-ray is taken, it appears instantly on the dental chair-mounted computer monitor for viewing. The digital imaging software allows Dr. Michael to see a number of different views of the tooth to gain a better understanding of the proper course of dental treatment.

Digital x-rays provide a great benefit to the patient, not only are they an excellent diagnostic tool, but they decrease radiation to the patient by over 80%. Digital dental X-rays are also environmentally friendly since there are no chemicals to dispose of. Also, digital X-rays can easily be sent via email all around the world at the patient’s request. Dr. Michael can explain dental conditions on a chair-side monitor and he can use a special computer program to simulate a dental restoration.
