Some minor denture repairs can be performed in-office, but the majority of repairs are performed by a specialized laboratory technician outside the office. If a tooth has broken off your denture of it has fractured the repair must be done by laboratory in order to have it done right. Dr. Michael will determine if the denture can be repaired inside the office or not.
To have your denture repaired you will have to be without your denture for the majority of the day. The turnaround time for a denture repair is usually 8-10 hours, depending on how busy the laboratory is on any given day. Normally, we will schedule a time for you to drop off your denture first thing in the morning. We will send your denture to the laboratory to be fixed, and then the denture can usually be returned that same afternoon. We will have you come back in for an appointment in the late afternoon to try-in your newly fixed denture with Dr. Michael. Dr. Michael will verify that the denture fits properly and then you can walk out of the office with your denture looking and fitting as good as new.
